Lin Ding

I am a professor in the Institute of Tibetan Plateau research, CAS and the director of the Laboratory of Continental Collision and Plateau Uplift and previously part of the Institute of Geology. My main interests focus on understanding the geological history of Tibetan plateau uplift, and more specifically 40Ar/39Ar, (U-Th)/He and Fission- Track thermogeochronology. I have published more than 120 papers in various different fields of interest. In 2010, I was fortunate enough to win first prize of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Land and Resources.

Currently I am vicechairman, Structure and Tectonic committee of Chinese geologic Society and Deputy-Secretariesgeneral, China Society on Tibet Plateau Research.
